Sherlock Holmes : Game of Shadow

*ing : Robert Downy Jr, Jude Law
Director : Guy Ritchie

Tagline :

Guy Richie is one of my fav director and is a proven genius. His lock stock and two smoking barrels happens to be one of my most fav film. and i thoroughly enjoyed his other films also like rock n rolla and first sherlock film.
here again he is back with very smart and very witty detective sherlock holmes played by RDB. bt this time the risk is bigger and the villain is more deadly than he imagined. and at the stake is world peace.
bt Holmes uses is precious gift of detectives and averts the disaster.
what i love abt the film is quirky humor, which typical of guy ritchie and some stylishly shot scenes. a must mention is chase scene where Holmes and his gang flee ammunition making factory.
a perfect way to end year with a film which is soo high on entertainment. loved it.

The Inbetweeners

*ing : James Buckely, Blake Harrison, Joe Thomas
Director : Ben Palmer

Tagline :

Its a movie version of UK sitcom by the same name. About four average teenagers who go to Malia for a vacation (sex, booze, booze, sex is wat they call it) and wat they go thru to find girls there. its usual coming of age type film wher frens fight, comes back, realizes who is love and who is not worth etc etc. just a rehash of american pie series. also had crude potty humor which i hate.

Don 2

*ing : Shahrukh Khan, Priyanka Chopra, Boman Irani
Director : Farhan Akhtar

Tagline : The king is back

well, is there anything in the world shahrukh khan cant do. he can be loving raj or rahul and he can also be deadly and menacing as don. his looks, locks, swagger, attitude is beyond ordinary and has a stamp of a man in authority.

its a sequel to famous don which was released in 2006 which was remake of a 70s cult film by same name.
here don is planning a heist in Berlin and the film pretty much is abt finding a team and the execution of the plan. there are, however several twist and turns which keeps you hooked to the screen.
the dialogues are super cool specially one liners mouthed by srk. he makes them sound even better ..

total fun ride to end the year ...

p.s. : srk is the best

Ladies Vs Ricky Behl

*ing : Ranveer Singh, Anushka Sharma
Director : Maneesh Sharma

Tagline :

the film is from the same team which bought us very charming and very fresh band baaja baraat last year. the promos were not at all impressive bt still i wanted to see the film because they had made a good first film.
however the film disappoints and how. its abt a good at heart conman who cons many girls in diff cities. 3 of them happened to be girls from lucknow, delhi and mumbai n they plan to con the con.
the film looks contrived and situations forced. only if i dnt compare to band baaja baraat, the film may be good bt thats hard not to do.

Girl Walks into Bar

*ing : Gil Bellows, Xander Berkerly, Alexes Bredely
Director : Sebestian Gutierrez

Tagline : A lot can happen in one night

this was supposed to a movie made for internet funded on internet. thank god, it did not get a theatrical release or no one else wud hv come to watch it. it is apparently a comedy of a situation gone wrong involving few couples and how their night go awry bt trust me, there is NOTHING funny abt anything. its a plain annoying film better be deleted from ur hard-drive.

*ing : George Clooney, Ryan Gosling, Philip Seymour Hoffman
Director :George Clooney

Tagline :

when you have actors like george clooney, ryan gosling and hoffman, its impossible you can go wrong.
its a fast moving political thriller in times of US presidency election. how an honest man is tangled in situation wher he has to change himself according to times. and that has been perfectly portrayed by gosling here. a fast rising actor/star in Hollywood.
and a word abt clooney, he is the dude. he is supercool. and can you believe it, he also directed the film. talent abundance.

the dirty picture

*ing : Vidya Balan, Naseeruddin Shah, Emraan Hashmi, Tushar Kapoor
Director : Milan Lutharia

Tagline :

Supposedly based on 80s sex siren silk smitha, played by vidya balan here, is a story of a girl who runs away from family to make it big in Tamil film industry.
unlike all the big female actresses then, she chooses sex a route to get an entry. so playing raunchy item numbers, having affair with much older and much married superstars of that time is a her route to stardom.
silk, played rivetingly by vidya is badly let down by the script of the film. its an average film with superlative performance by Balan. watch it if you are a die hard fan of her.

The Whislteblower

*ing : Rachel Weisz, Monica Bellucci
Director : Larysa Kondraki

Tagline : Nothing is more dangerous than truth.

I quite admire Rachel weisz. not just her actin prowess bt also her beauty. there is quite dignity in everything she does. in the film she plays a United nation employee serving as peace keeper in war ridden Bosnia.
she needs money badly thats why she chooses this job. what she get to know how girls are being thrown into prostitution for the soldiers serving there. she cant handle it all and tries to break the news which shakes the entire system. its a lil slow film, bt hard hitting one.
