Drive

*ing : Ryan Gosling, Carey Mulligan
Director : Nicolas Winding Refn

Tagline : There are no clean gateways

Finally a better film to end this month with. Ryan Gosling is turning to be a big big star lately. I havent really seen much of his films bt in "drive" he is breathtaking. solid performance as a driver who works as a stuntman in hollywood films and also works as a wheeler for criminals. Its a noir thriller in a way where he gets tangled in things he doesnt want to. wat i like is the explosive outburst of anger which is so deceptive when u look at ryan mostly. should watch it.

Bridesmaid

*ing : Kirsten Wiig, Maya Rudolph, Rose Bryn
Director : Paul Feig

Tagline :

a lonely girl is made "maid of honor" for her best friends marriage. things go weird when another girl starts taking control of the proceedings. wat follows is jealousy, fighting, bitching and attempt to outdo one another. sometimes funny but mostly not. atleast not for me.

Fast Five

*ing : Vin Diesel, Paul Walker, Dwayne Johnson
Director : Justin Lin

Tagline :

Never been crazy fan of Fast and Furious franchise. Always felt it was more of noise and less of substance. In this film however they hv tried to go away from street racing and been more focused on story part. which comprises of heist in Brazil. inevitably there are some cool car chasing scenes and some wit but the entire package doesn't look that good. cud hv been better. though i hope they will continue the improving trend in coming films too.

Thor

*ing : Chris Hemsworth, Anthony Hopkins, Natalie Portman
Director : Kenneth Branagh

Tagline : Courage is Immortal

Whatever i have learnt about america, their comic book or their mythology is through their films. Based on Thor, god of thunder is one of the famous comics series there. Turns out the film is not that bad. although a little predictable, bt worth a fun ride.

Friends with Benefits

*ing : Justin Timberlake, Mila Kunis
Director : Will Gluck

Tagline :

Strikingly similar to a recent film "no strings attached" where two good looking ppl are together just for sex. the inevitable happens and they fall in love. how they realize it and accept it is the only difference it has. even though the film makes fun of rom com genre, its just another one. mila kunis is super hot.

The Bad Lieutenant: Port of Call - New Orleans

*ing : Nicolas Cage, Eva Mendes
Director : Werner Herzog

Tagline : Only criminal he cant catch is himself

Nicolas Cage is a bad overhyped actor. I have never liked him in any of his films. mmm probably may be in matchstick men. in this one he plays a corrupt drug snorting cop who investigates a  homicide and to wat level he has to go to make things right. too much of bad acting and very lazy pace. disliked it.

Taxi Driver

*ing : Robert De Niro, Jodie Foster, Cybill Sheperd
Director : Martin Scorsese

Tagline : On every street in every city in this country, there's a nobdy who dreams of being a somebody.

One of the cult film of martin scorsese where he tied up with his usual favorite robert di niro about a lonley taxi driver who dreams of cleaning filth off the New York streets. Some iconinc scenes, some great acting, some great direction and a great cameo by the director himself. its dark, violent. watch if you like all these genres.

Bhindi Bazaar Inc

*ing : Kay Kay Menon, Prashant Narayanan, Pawan Malhotra, Piyush Mishra, Shilpa Shukla
Direcor : Ankush Bhatt

Tagline :

what the heck this film was about ?? apparently a underworld story but there were soo many sub-plots, its hard to say if this was actually an underworld story. with soo many good actors, there is not a single credible performance. everyone seems to be hamming their way. and then gross publicity of film because of sex scenes. its better left alone.
