Tagline : Fake it if you cant make it.

now finally Y films get it right. a film abt youth and their porblems and their language without being corny or being sloppy. this is a fun film made funnier by spirited casting. all the 4 young people look rightly cast in their roles. bring out the zing and freshness required. music and setting also helps giving film the right look. i thoroughly enjoyed it.

Monster's Inc

*ing : (voices of ) : Billy Crystal, John Goodman, Mary Gibs
Director : Pete Doctor, David Silverman

Tagline : Monster's Inc, We scare because we care

i have fallen love with pixar all over again. after finding nemo, which was one of most fav film, comes monster's inc, which is equally, if not better than finding nemo.
wat do people at pixar eat to come up such great movies. finding nemo taught us about father son relationship with some unusual characters, here talks pixar talks abt happiness through monsters. yes you heard right, happiness and laughter through monsters. and if pixar belives in something, they know they can do it. they are the best.
a film to be watched with kids, adults and elderly people. it really makes u emotional and laugh at the same time.

Ra.One

*ing : Shahrukh Khan, Kareena Kapoor
Director : Anubhav Sinha

Tagline :Superhero with a Hart

i am probably biggest fan of shahrukh khan. i adore him like no other thing. i belive he is the smartest and most intelligent person on the planet earth.
and when he started making is dream venture film on gaming and superheroes, i thought its going to bring new era of technology and film making in Bollywood. and the first look of film came, i dint like. then few promos came in, except one, i dint like any. then the soundtrack came in, barring one song (bhare naina) i dint like it much. however i had some ideas wat kind of story the film is which always excited me.
i knew no matter wat, SRK will surpass all the expectations.. and boy was i disappointed, well i was shattered.

i did not like the film. At best, it was OK. first 20-25 mins of the film is nothing but headache. srk in that Tamil speaking geek is annoying and not endearing. srk is as superhero (?) is one dimensional. the humor is forced, emotional scens do not strike a chord.
only thing which works is the few action scenes but its hard to be excited as u dnt feel for the characters much.
though you cant deny that srk has invested his blood and sweat in the film. bt the problem is he is trying too hard to please everyone.

above all, biggest culprit of the entire movie is director anubhav sinha. he has handled scenes like a ametuer. director of films like dus, cash and tum bin should not have been directing such magnum opus with 150 cr budget. its because of him the film looks a child's work.

srk made a mistake in hiring him as a director. he should hv gone for better options.
having said that, one film will never ever do any thing to my love for srk. he is greatest and will remain one forever. he is miles above his counterparts. dnt agree me, just watch the new trailer of DON 2.

The Hangover II

*ing : Bradely Cooper, Ed Helms, Zack Galifiankis,
Director : Tod Phillips

Tagline : The Wolfpack is back

how exciting it was learn that there will be sequel to probably my most fav comedy movie hangover. and even the trailer showed soo much of promise bt the film is disappointing. it may have been decent movie standalone but the fact that it is sequel to 2009's most successful movie which has a cult following.
this movie does bring the wolfpack back but not the fun they had in LA. Bangkok aint that fun except occasional funny situation, rest of the movie has a deja vu feel to it. hangover part one's most fun aspect was its unpredictability.. here we somehow know things that are going to happen. watch it very low expectations and it just might turn out good.

Mausam

*ing : Shahid Kapoor, Sonam
Director : Pankaj Kapoor

Tagline : A timeless love story.

the film is not as bad as people said it would be. infact i enjoyed 75% of. rest 25% i think just shouldnt have been there.. its just tooo long. and thats why it drags and you loose the fun you had earlier. story is interesting, premise is also good n some scenes are skillfully handled bt as i said.. it should been couple of seasons less.

Revolution 2020 : Love. Corruption. Ambition

Written by Chetan Bhagat

Finally finished a book after long time.. even though starting many books in recent times and reading as much as 90% of certain books.. i had not been able to finish any of them. bt with chetan.. its different.

mostly its the language and stories he talks abt. it all sounds relatable. the issues, the lingo.. the setup.
here its a triangular love story set in city Varanasi which also has backdrop of corruption in education sector.
It may not be chetan's best work bt you cant ignore the seriousness of the issue he talks about. as how there is rampant corruption in education and as how you have to bribe on EVERY stage to get a college be up and functioning. one of the reason our country's education system is going to drains.
may not be funny as his earlier books, may not be as dark as the issue sounds.. may not be as dramatic as it should hv been..bt still its worth a read.

Force

*ing : John Abraham, Genelia D'souza
Director : Nishikant Kamat

Tagline : For every negative, there is a positive.

A review after a long time..
well i was expecting film to be good. it was not.. started on a good note and maintained in pace and consistency on most of the parts.. its about group of special cops who fights drug lords in the city. meanwhile they also take care of their family. john gets involved romantically with genelia and they both plan to get married. bt there's a new villain who takes revenge to new level and starts targeting family of cops. thats where it converts into a revenge drama and film goes downhill. there is just tooo much of gore in it to digest it. genelia is super duper cute.
