Carnage

*ing : Jodie Foster, Kate Winslet, Christopher Waltz and John C Reilly
Director : Roman Polansky

Tagline : A comedy of no manners

A smart director like Polanski and a great cast like this, you expect nothing bt a quality film. and it does deliver.
Two pairs of parents hold a cordial meeting after their sons are involved in a fight, though as their time together progresses, increasingly childish behavior throws the evening into chaos.
At first, the verbal exchange between the two married couples maintains a high civility factor but when the differences between them start to emerge, subtly at first and eventually glaringly, the couples begin to turn on each other and finally each on their own spouse. As their civility and inhibition washes away, aided by a bottle of Scotch whiskey, descending fully into verbal warfare with all their character flaws laid bare.

Annie Hall

*ing : Woody Allen, Diane Keaton, Tony Roberts
Director : Woody Allen

Tagline : A nervous Romance

Woody Allen is one of the finest director of Hollywood and perhaps one of the most intelligent man. some of his films are among my most favorite films of all time. Annie Hall is considered to be his one his best work. no wonder the film also won academy award for best picture the year it got released.

what i like most abt woody allen's films is his films are real to life and always has a way to improve the way we deal with things, specially love. !

in Annie hall, he plays a nervous confused man in love with this women bt not realizing her importance. the women is also nervous and confused it doesnt make a perfect pair but what in life does.

what i also love most in his films is the dialogues and the humor part of it. if you understand subtle humor laced with bit of sarcasm, you will also become fan of the man..

Ek Main aur Ekk Tu

*ing : Kareena Kapoor, Imran Khan
Director : Shakun Batra

Tagline :

Loosely inspired by "what happens in Vegas" where boy and girl get married after one drunk night, EMAET is a funny account of a man who has been living life charted out by his parents.
rahul, played earnestly by imran khan, is an architect who irons his socks and underwear and chews his food 32 times before swallowing it, exactly as their parents asks him to do !

whereas Riana played by kareena is charming, bubbly, spunky girl who lives life as it comes. their path crosses and they get married on one drunk night. they both know its a mistake bt problem happens when rahul falls in love with riana.

the film is consistently funny and is made more watchable coz of crackling chemistry between the leads. not to forget the brilliant score by amit trivedi with rightly placed songs.

few words abt kareena. she definitely is the best actress in the industry and there were obvious complain abt her doing inconsequential roles in big movies. here she does full justice to her talent. she looks smokin hot and acts just perfect. fell in love with her all over again.

Rating :

The (In)eligible Bachelor

Writer : Ruchita Mishra

Finally a book a finished after a long time. The (in)eligible bachelor is funny and semi-biographical account of writer where she is forced to get into arranged marriage by her parents and ends up falling in love with her own boss.

It is in same genre as we see lot of new novels coming these days. the writing is easy and is occasionally genuinely funny. However you cant ignore the obvious bollywoodish reference to the entire plot or some of the situations.

it definitely is a commendable first time effort for the writer who ironically has sold rights for the book to be made into a hindi film.
