Ishaqzaade

*ing : Parineeti Chopra, Arjun Kapoor
Director : Habib Faisal

Tagline : ishaqzaade hai jitne fasaano mai Milte hai ab kaha jaahano mai

The film is directed by habib faisal who really had made some good films recently. Directed do dooni chaar and wrote film like band baaja baraat. Also have seen his interviews and he came across very smart and articulate man with clear thoughts. Was expecting a lot from ishaqzaade as the girl also had impressed in her debut film. Bt the film really disappointed me. The setting is good and the first half hour is also fun but then some stupid things keep happening. Like the girl suddenly having feeling for the boy,, getting married and making love. Not in mood of writing much..just dint like movie.

Trishna

*ing : Freida Pinto, Riz Ahmed
Director : Michael Winerbotton

Tagline :

This trishna movie is such a disappointment. I had seen trailer earlier and was blown away by it.. specially the music. However the film,, I like nothing. And I mean nothing. There a rich nri who comes to rajasthan to take care of a hotel of his father.. he is not interested in it much.. suddenly he falls in love with a village girl played by freida pinto.. he helps her get a job in hotel. Sleeps with her.. takes her to Mumbai.. becomes nymphomaniac.. the girl kills him and then kills herself.. I found it a stupid film. Most of the time nothing really happens. I did not udnerstnd why he had to kill him .. and then kill herself. Why this smart rich guy had to be around with this village yokel. He cud hv got soo many pretty girls. Having been nice in most of the film he suddenly becomes dark. Music has been used well at some places but overall it doesn’t match the expectations.. only music I am talking abt.. the film anyway is a disaster. Tested my patience and wat not.

Batman Begins

*ing : Christian Bale, Liam Neeson, Katie Holmes, Gary Oldman
Director : Christopher Nolan

Tagline :

Well it feels awkward saying this but I had never seen batman begins. Yes. Its true. The most important reason that I had seen the dark knight by the time I got chance to see batman begins. And I always thought, since I have seen such a great movie,, I dnt think batman begins will b able to match the dark knight. Bt then I recently saw the dark knight rises and it had some plots taken from the batman begins and I was kicking myself for not having seen the first one. So ya,, saw batman begins and it may not be as good as the next two but still a good movie. This is more about how the batman came into picture. How he fought his demons and became the man. The film is darker in tone which other movies have also been and bruce does make some sacrifices. Also in order to complete the trilogy, I had to watch this film. And I did not regret.

Prison Break (Season 4 )

*ing : Dominic Purcell, Winworth Miller, Sarah Wayne Callies, William Fitchner

Tagline : the revenge begins now.

Having watched the first 3 season with great interest I wanted to finish the entire show by watching the last season made. And prison break season 4 did not disappoint. Still as smart as previous ones.. still as racy and edge of the seat type thriller. Season 4 is more abt Michael and his team fighting against THE COMPANY to take it down so that they can get exonerated for all the things that they hv done in past. They end up losing more than they bargained. They also find out that their mother Is alive and still working for the company. In the end, Michael looses his life saving others and that was really touching. Michael has been the central character in all the seasons and see him go down was sad. The first Hollywood series that I completed and loved it immensely. I have been watching frends on n off. Next on my radar is Lost which I hv heard a lot about.

Tagline : the greatest fairy tale ever told.

Shrek is a very popular and successful animation franchise. The first movie is about the an ogre who goes on a journey to find and save a princess. He bravely gets over all the hurdle and is successful in saving the princess and he has to return her to the king. But on the way he falls in love with her and princess also falls in love with her. But there is a secret princess is carrying. It’s a good film but noting in comparison to other animations films I have lately. May be it was not as funny but still I liked the film

The Dark Knight Rises

*ing : Christian Bale, Anne Hathway, Gary Oldman, Tom Hardy, Marion Cottilard, Joseph Gordon Levitt
Director : Christopher Nolan

Tagline : the legend ends.

TDKR is one of the most anticipated movie of the year.. may be of the decade. ! there were many reasons for it. First and foremost it is the last movie in the brilliant trilogy of batman story which started with batman begins and reached a cult with the dark knight. It is helmed by one of the greatest and most genius director of this generation, Christopher Nolan. I myself is a huge fan of Christopher Nolan and his batman saga and then the hype around it.. it just made me desperate to watch it. And then I saw the film and I was awestruck. What an outstanding finale to this loved series. TDKR Is every you wud expect from such film. It is epic in vision and executed just with perfection. There is right doses of darkness, action and drama. People may say that TDKR doesn’t hv a great villain like we had in joker in TDK but I think that’s an unfair comparison. I know its inevitable to compare however I personally found nothing wrong in this movie either. Infact batman is tested even more in this movie, both mentally and physically. And then there is trademark classic climax twist by the director which will make you emotional. its soo good a film I wanted to see it back to back. Haven’t seen it yet but I wud for sure.

Cocktail

*ing : Saif Ali Khan, Deepika Padukone, Diana Penty
Director : Homi Adjania

Tagline : sometimes good friend may be too good to share

I have more or less quite liked imtiaz ali films. Socha na tha, jab we met, love aaj kal (dint like rockstar much ) .. cocktail is written by ali so I kinda was expecting more from the film. Also, homi adjania who is director has made “being cyrus” which was kinda dark film. When I saw the trailer, I liked it but not much. Dunno but something dint click. When I saw the film, I liked but not much. Dunno but something dint click much. It’s a love triangle between saif , deepika and Diana (boy she looks sooo good). well cocktail is different in many ways and also regressive in someway. the women are shown open-minded but in thoughts they still seem traditional and same with boys. they may sleep with spunky deepika but need homely Diana to take her home. Film is much more deeper than this particular that buts its just not blended well. Saif seemed old and his coolness was forced. Also we hv seen doing same stuff better in other films. Deepika really carried some scenes well but its Diana who stole my heart.
