Bodyguard

*ing : salman Khan, kareena Kapoor
Director : Siduqquie

Tagline :

i cant remember which was last movie i paid to watch a salman khan film. if i think really hard, i guess it was mujhse shadi karogi. that one sucked too.. oh ya, i saw london dreams too but that again was financed by a frend. i went to watch bodyguard only coz i had free tickets available.
all i wish i wud hv let the tickets go wasted. there was nothing good abt the film. the story too stupid and funny. songs happen just like that. action is good bt it seen there type of feel. and salman does his usual do-gooder act. kareena looks gorgeous and acts well bt there is nothing convincing in story. hated it.

Tagline :

after watching finding nemo, i was fascinated with sea. so saw this documentary which explores the world of vast ocean and its inhabitants. this is a fascinating documentary with some jaw-dropping visuals you would ever see. the natural visuals of this film will films like transformers or other feel ashamed about the computer generated visuals.
infact, there should be a documentary on learn how this documentary was made.

Director : Andrew Stanton, Lee Unkrich

Tagline : There are 3.7 Trillion Fish in the Ocean, They are looking for one.

there is rarely a movie which has moved me like this one. dnt know wat they do but Pixar makes some of the most amazing movies. characters like robot or fish wins your heart in no time. you laugh with them, you cry with them. same happened when i saw this film. its a sweet endearing story about a clowfish who has lost his only son in the vast ocean. and how takes to find his son. how son learns to grow up and how fathers should never be over-protective about their kids. the good things is entire story is filled with some really funny scenes and great one-liners. i just loved it. watch it with ur family if u can .

Elite Squad 2

*ing : Wagner Mora, Irandhir Santos, Andre Ramiro
Director : Jose Padilha

Tagline : Each dog licks its own dick

this one is a Brazilian crime drama about their society, people, system and how its being used for unfair advantages. if you are a Brazilian, you can understand the film better bt even just a as a cinematic experiences, this film is really good. edgy, grungy and some brilliant acting. film is sequel to another Brazilian hit elite squad which came in late nineties. this is in league of "city of god", if not better.

Zoolander

Director : Ben Stiller

Taglline : 3% body fat, 1% brain.

this one is apparently a cult hit about a dumb model who is brainwashed to kill the malaysian prime minister. i found it mildly funny. depressingly disappointed by the "cult" status of it.
found nothing cult about it.

Bbudhah Hoga tera Baap

*ing : Amitabh Bacchhan
Director : Puri Jagannath

Tagline : He is back, and He is angry...

I havent really liked any amitabh bacchan film in years. Last one i liked most was probably Nishabd. This role is pretty much tailor made for the star that he is/was. Film has lot of self references about the films he did in his younger years. Nothing much on a story line. Director is really tacky at times. not a very good quality hindi film. watch it if you strictly AB fan.

Not a Love Story

*ing : Deepak Dobriyal, Mahie Gill
Director : Ram Gopal Verma

Tagline : In summer of 2008, two lovers did a very bad thing...

I was not really looking forward to this film. i went to watch only coz i was bored and had no work. I used to be huge fan of RGV bt its been long i believe that RGV has lost it. he has gone too deep to ever make a come back. i was not expecting masterpiece for sure bt i was not expecting a headache either. RGV continues taking shot with his weird camera angels. camera is put in as bizarre location as under the skirt, between pants, under the breasts, following ass etc etc.
Story however is taken from real life horrific case of maria susairaj who murdered a tv producer neeraj grover with the help of her fiance. also, did 300 pieces of the dead body, disposed it and moved on in life nothing really happened. the film is weirdly shot and climax is really baffling. dint like much abt it.

Goal III : Taking on the world

*ing : JJ Field, Leo Greogry, Kuno Becker
Director : Andrew Morahan

Tagline :

The first two move in the series were not very good types but they were not bad at all. the third one in the franchise is really bad in terms of quality. even the story shifts to two other players competing for world cup squad and the main character from first two movie has been sidelined completely. waste of time for me atleast.

True Grit

*ing : Jeff Bridges, Matt Damon, Josh Brolin, Hailey Stainfield
Director : Joel & Ethan Coen

Tagline : Punishment comes one way or other.

Coen brothers are perhaps only director in hollywood who has huge body of work which is admired by all. they hv won Oscars and now they started doing well at box offices as well. But they are only director who's not a single movie i have liked, or even understood well. True grit is their the easiest movie to understand. films like "no country for old men", (some amazing scenes bt cudnt understand wat film was abt) "a single men" (cudnt get heck of it), " the big lebowoski" (hated it), o brother where art though (cudnt finish it).
true grit is set in 196Os Texas with cowboys with terrible accent on a hunt of a ruthless killer. its a simple story told with trade mark coen brothers style. better than the rest bt nothing much to recommend for honestly.

You Dont Mess with the Zohan

*ing : Adam Sandler, John Turturro, Emmanualle Chirqui
Director : Dennis Dugan

Tagline : He will make you silky smooth

One of my favorite funny character of time. you dont mess with zohan, like literally. Zohan can do anything. But he is not allowed to wat he wishes to do. Zohan is a Israeli soldier who wants to leave the violence around and want to become a barber so he can make hairs silky smooth. yes you heard right. the film is filled with some amazing humor and some noble msg in it about Israeli and Palestines. On the line of Borat but not in league of it.. nevertheless a truly fun ride.

Goal II: Living the Dream

*ing : Kuno Becker, Allesandro Nivolla, Anna Freil
Director : Danny Cannon

Tagline : The Journey Continues

this is sequel to the first movie Goal. this one talks abt protagonist where he is star now and has signed new deal for a better and richer club. film has usual cliches where the rise is shown and so is his downfall. meanwhile he also has to deal with his own past in the process and how he emerges champion again. and despite the trappings and cliches, its still worth a watch.

*ing : Ajay Devgan, Prakash Raj, Kajal Agrawal
Director : Rohit Shetty

Tagline :

Rohit Shetty has delivered some really big hits lately. i dnt knw wat formula he uses but he does have hang of audience. he returns to action after long time. the first he directed was devgan starring zameen. this one is remake of tamil film with same name.
ajay devgan plays the title role who's an honest inspector in corrupt system. a role he has played more effectively and realistically in acclaimed gangajal. here its more larger than life feel to the setting. its actually a good film with lot of earthy feel to it. i wouldnt put it in same leauge as gangajal coz this one is more commercial than former.

this has to be most boring film i had ever seen. this was supposed to be the film of the decade where it got both standing ovation and boos from audience in Cannes Film festival where it was premiered.
http://moifightclub.wordpress.com/2011/07/31/tree-of-life-we-live-in-deeds-and-meditate-in-grief/ this sublime article made me watch the film but had no clue what i am getting into. the film is extremely self indulgent and its impossible to figure out what exactly is happening, what director is trying to show. its toooo long, tooo boring. nothing to like about. hated it.
