its just not as interesting story as the first part or remotely that funny. and its fucking tooo long a film. shud hv been at least 20 mins shorter.

dnt watch it on ur tiny laptop or ur tv. watch it only on big screen ever if you do.

Harry Potter and Deathly Hallow - 2

*ing : Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint, Richard Harris, Emma Watson
Director : David Yates

Tagline : It all ends

i have never religiously followed books or movies of harry potter when i was young. though i always knew its a phenomenon all across the world but since i hadnt read a book, i did not know what it meant to kids. i sometimes did wonder what was ther in these books as people wait days and weeks to get hand on the first copies of the book.

well this month, i decided to watch all harry potter films back to back and then i realized what magical thing called world of harry potter is. i am 27 years old and by no means i am a kid or a teenager. i am supposed not to enjoy things which kids or teenagers do. but i enjoyed harry potter series like anything in the world. it made me feel kid and adult at the same time.
i was extremely sad and depressed when the last film ended. and i had been part of this world only for a month. i wonder people who grew with harry potter. it took 10 years for 7 harry potter books to come out. i cant imagine their pain when they realized harry potter series is over. its like their friend from childhood has said goodbye forever. no character ever in past will be celebrated for as long as harry potter has been.
even the movies made on every book truly justifies the magical world of harry potter. casting young actors like Radcliffe, Rupert grunt and Emma Watson seems a stroke of brilliance today as they hv become such a fine actor and have carried the characters of harry potter, ron Wesley and hermoine with such authenticity. today when we think of these characters, we think of these 3 actors who played the role.
I haven't been able to take out the film of my head days after watching it. i keep going back to some movie or other in the series and watching scenes of it. i keep reading about the characters on net. i keep reading about spells used in the film. i read about jk Rowling.. i see her documentaries on youtube. i want to know each and everything about the series now..
some of my fav characters apart from the trio are, Luna lovegood, Ginny Wesley and nevile longbottom. they all are extremely endearing. i was also happy to see harry getting a proper family at the end. the poor guy suffered all his life, it was a emotional moment to see him with his wife and kids.

in the end i d like to say, j k Rowling, you are a genius and a special gift by god. you will die one day but characters created by you will always and always survive. that is your biggest achievement.
( i feel emotional just by writing here and knowing that i will not write about harry potter here anymore.)

Tagline : Dark Secrets revealed.

I had seen this film earlier in cinema hall when it released and i remember hating it then. mostly coz i cudnt comprehend what was going on.
but today when i watch this film.. i cant help but to be over joyed and awed by sheer storytelling of JK rowling and brilliance of David Yates. If you watch the flm in isolation, you may really not understand what is going on but if you watch in continuation with the series, you will find it nothing but exceptional.

Ek Deewana Tha

*ing : Prateik Babbar, Amy Jackson
Director : Gautham Menon

Tagline : A perfect romance... more or less.

romantic films always makes u remember ur own days.. so it happens with ek deewana tha. its a breezy romantic film about a mumbai boy who falls in love with christian Malayalam girl from a strict family. the film is beautifully shot and has some amazing number by rahman. i kinda liked some of the romantic scenes in the film and almost absolutely fell in love with heroine of the film, amy jackson. she's a British and looks totally convincing cast as Indian girl. bt wonder why her skin complexion is indifferent throughout the film. nevertheless, she looks absolutely gorgeous and delicious throughout.

Tagline : Dark and difficult time lies ahead.

Each and every film of harry potter looks better. goblet of fire has been one of the best of all so far. lot of things happen in this one.. including death of a harry's friend in a fearsome battle with lord voldermort with harry. yes, lord voldermort has regained his powers and ready to kill harry.
the film has lot of dark undertones and requires full concentration to understand the proceedings.

Agneepath

*ing : Hrithik Roshan, Sanjay Dutt, Priyanka Chopra
Director : Karan Malhotra

Tagline :

I have not been fan of original agneepath and neither i was excited when i learnt that agneepath is being remade with hrithik in lead. the film got mixed reviews and was kinda hit bt still did not excite me enuff.
I downloaded the film.. saw it and it still did not excite me enough. it was rather mediocre bollywoodish film with nothing novel or path breaking about it. hrithik being such a big star should go beyond his comfort level. it was good to see him do some action but the high voltage combat we were expecting between sanjay and him never really comes out. it just fizzles out too soon. whereas sanjay is looks creepy bt hams in his acting.

Kahaani

*ing : Vidya Balan
Director : Sujoy Ghosh

Tagline : a mother of a story

Vidya Balan is the new Khan. she literally is. She has single handedly changed the industry for actress. films after films she has given performance which is not just exceptional but also lifts the film like any male star actor.
Paa, Ishqiya, No one killed Jessica, the dirty picture and now kahaani. she's just brilliant. if the film is as good, that is a different question all together.

kahani, directed by sujoy ghosh who started out with semi-cult jhankar beats but then gave two ridiculous films like home deliver and aladin, is more assured here.
the film does have gape-holes but if u overlook them, u ll enjoy the film. the climax actually can be a big WTF kinda experience however the explanation is rather justifying. still i would say u watch it for vidya and vidya alone.

Harry Potter and the Sorcer's Stone

*ing : Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint, Richard Harris, Emma Watson
Director : Chris Columbus

Tagline : Let the magic begin

I have always been fascinated by harry potter series however i have not been able to follow the series closely in past. I saw few movies here and there and have not read a single book. Coz when the books released first, i was staying in far off world which never heard about books at all. when i started hearing about books, i did not want to start reading in between and figuring around what who and where. I had always thought that i d rather watch all the movies to understand the series better. the coming few weeks are dedicated to watch only harry potter films..
harry potter is immensely popular character and is highest selling books in history and one of the highest money grossing franchise ever. all this, and is also a story about a magician boy and world of magic.

first movie is where it all starts. harry potter is a special kid staying with his very ungrateful ordinary uncles and living a miserable life. one day he receives an invitation to join Hogwards, the school of magic and that's where his life changes. he realizes that he is more than an ordinary boy and possesses some special skills. his parents were extremely famous wizards of their time and were killed by an evil who-shall-not-be-named.
he gets good friends in Ron and hermoine who becomes their best buddies in his adventures of life. no review in the world can make you feel the magic of the story telling. every single details has been given a exemplary finishing and you actually feel everything is for real.
Also, it has a riveting story which ll keep you glued in the movie and make you want more n more n more.
get addicted.

Good Night | Good Morning

*ing : Manu Naraynan, Seema Rahmani
Director : Sudhish Kamath

Tagline :

I have always enjoyed talky films. Specially which has romance as central plot. for exp before sunrise (which does get mentioned in the film along with others like matrix).
Here, after a brief encounter in a bar on a new year's eve the boy calls girl on the way to his home. the one call becomes long night conversation about two interesting funny individual. It actually goes beyond being funny, it touches each others lives and makes them talk abt their secrets. Its a good film made better by interesting conversation and supported by those goofy scenes here and there.

Hugo

*ing : Asa Butterfield, Chloe Grace Moretz, Christopher Lee
Director : Martin Scoresese

Tagline :

Hugo is an uncharacteristic movie by great director Martin Scorsese. Uncharacteristic coz Martin is known to make violence based gangster kinda movies. And the same man making a children film Hugo is no small achievement.
But personally, exactly is the problem. I did not like Hugo much.. i thought its over rated. If only, I could have seen the movie alienating Martin's name from the film, I perhaps may have liked it a lil more but i could not.

Hugo was even nominated for best picture category and was a strong contender until it lost to "The Artist". Frankly I did not think Hugo worthy of winning best picture. Unlike last year, where "the social network" was my most favorite film, there was no such film i could root for. ( i m yet to see the artist ) !

Hugo though is story of a orphan kid staying a railway station trying to discover mystery behind his father's death. In process, he also makes few family happy and establishes faith in art of cinema.

The visual of films are good and I may hv enjoyed film had i seen in Theater in 3D. Watch it with kids and you may like it more..
