When we grew, Krishna ji was our fav bhagwan. Mostly coz we saw many serials based on his life. Also mahabharat which was a rage had Krishna ji in it.
Shanker ji did hv a show “om namah shivay” bt we dint follow it that regularly.
Then I read this book, meluha. It is a fictional account based on life of shanker ji. The book is good and has some really interesting ideas about past of india. They may b true may not be bt they are very different and unique thoughts about system.
Bt more than anything, I m curious life of shanker ji. As how great god he is. In fact he is called mahadev which means god of gods.
He is a passionate dancer, very innocent, has sacrificed a lot, has drunk poison to save world, has moon and ganga on his head and a snake around his neck. Really there is soo much to know learn about gods of our country. His son ganesha. Ganesha’s wife ridhi sidhi. Their kid shubh labh. Its fascinating to learn soo many thing about our gods. Like seriously.
About the book, it’s a triology. Lets see when I get to read the second part. 3rd is not yet released.
Also saw interviews of the writer, amish and he a very articulate man with amazing thoughts and ideas. Liked the over all experience.
