Thor : The Dark World

*ing : Chris Hemsworth, Natalie Portman, Tom Hiddleston
Director : Alan Taylor

Tagline :

I liked the first Thor but this one was a total failure.

The plot to this movie is as thin as an 80 Yr Old Pair of Underwear that has been worn by a homeless dude for the past quarter century.

I mean thin. The beginning was difficult to understand. I even attempted to use closed captioning to get the drift of the beginning.

The only redeeming features of the movie were Loki and the two sub-characters who worked for Jane Foster.

Pacific Rim

*ing : Idris Elba, Charlie Hunnam, Rinko Kikuchi
Director : Guillermo del Toro

Tagline : To fight monsters we created monsters

Guillermo Del Toro shows us what Transformers had the potential to be but instead of two groups of alien robots fighting each other 'Pacific Rim' gives us man made robots fighting giant monsters.

Set in the not too distant future man kind is facing their biggest fight for survival when a portal, known as the breach opens at the bottom of the Pacific Ocean and numerous monsters called Kaijus come through and strike blows on numerous cities across the globe. They decide the only way to counter these attacks is to build giant robots called the Jaegers. The robot required two pilot but also had to be considered compatible. The better compatibility, the better they will fight. For a while it proves effect but the attacks become more frequent meaning time is running out for man kind.

Charlie Hunnam plays retired Jaeger pilot Rayleigh Becket who is trying to come to terms with losing his brother who died while fighting along side him against a Kaijus. Idris Elba gives a fine performance as Commander Stacker Pentecost, who is reluctant to allow Rayleigh to pilot along side Mako (Kikuchi) who could be considered inconsistent in her performance. The audience is supposed to see her as a strong and capable fighter but she is often seen as too vulnerable and the script can't make it's mind up on her character's traits.

This is one of the best shot movies this year and special effects to match. We see numerous fights in the form of news reports where the different angles are incredible.

Krrish 3

*ing : Hrithik Roshan, Priyanka Chopra, Kangana Ranaut, Vivek Oberoi
Director : Rakesh Roshan

KRRISH 3 : ITS MAKING:

How to make a recipe(movie) called KRRISH 3:

Ingredients:

- Screen Play, script writers, VFX supervisors and VFX companies of the companies that worked for the following movies:

- X-MEN Series (Magneto + Charles Xavier + Storm + toad + mystique + other mutants) - No need to mention anything about it.

- The Dark Knight Trilogy - Wide shots that feature Krrish on top of construction cranes and buildings; seems to be inspired by the dark landscapes of Gotham city in Batman.

- Spider Man 1,2 & 3 - Krrish spanning across buildings

- Spider Man 3, The Avengers and Man of Steel - Krrish under the building stopping the building from falling on the people below

- The Amazing Spider man - First person view of krrish leaping of a building and the antidote exploding in the night sky.

- Transformers 3 - Building topples and grinds on another building.

- Man of Steel (you could also consider its sequel Batman vs Superman for added flavor(humor)) - Climax fight between Krrish and Kaal.

- I am a Legend & World War Z - Fighting against deadly virus.

- Inception - The Swiss mountaintop housing Kaal's laboratory

- Class 1 - 3;Science text books.

- VFX (any quality).

- Sentiment.

- Expressions (Over-Expressions also works better).

- and at last humanity.

Procedure:

1. Take a pan of large quantity and put it on the stove.

2. Heat the pan for some time.

3. Chop the script from X-Men series and Spider Man series evenly and boil them in the I am a Legend's script till they turn into Indian flavors.

4. Cut large slices from The Dark Knight trilogy, Transformers 3 and Man of Steel. Grind them properly such that they mix well together.

5. Heat the grinded paste in a large oven by putting the necessary sentiment and humanity. Keep it stored for a long period of time.

6. Once the gravy made from X-Men and Spider Man series is ready, add some expressions to it to keep it fresh.

7. Take the stored grinded paste and add it to the gravy along with the Science text books taken earlier. Mix the contents well.

8. Store it in the refrigerator for some time and then heat it again.

9. Add the necessary VFX as per taste and cost. Decorate it beautifully.

There you are now with the Krrish 3 recipe ready to eat.

SERVE HOT. (Note: Not recommended for humans with IQ above 50. If eaten, the consequences may be disastrous. The chef has no involvement in any consequences that may follow.)

X Men: The Last Stand

*ing : Patrick Stewart, Hugh Jackman, Halle Berry
Director : Brett Ratner

Tagline : Take a stand

I revisited the movie cause I was too much in X Men Zone. Having seen X Men first class again recently, I also wanted to visit the first X men movie I saw. I saw the last stand in 2006. I remember loving it then. Ofocuse I did not understand the plot and it was an isolated movie for me then. Now I know who Magneto Xavier Hogan Raven are, the film made more sense.
And I enjoyed it even now.
And yes, desperately waiting for new movie in franchise, X Men : Days of Future Past ( I still cant help but admire the epic title)

The Wolverine

*ing : Hugh Jackman, Will Yun Lee, Tao Okamoto
Director : James Mangold

Tagline :The hero. The fugitive. The warrior. The survivor. The legend.

Just could squeeze a movie between the epicenes of Breaking Bad series. Have to say how massively disappointed I am with the movie in a series which has given mostly good movies.
The wolverine is a bad movie with some terribly lame twists and action scenes. Hugh Jackman plays the wolverine with sincerity but the story and specially the twist in end doesn’t live up to the character.
However the final scene of the movie is quite exciting, where Magneto and Profession Xavier come together and gives a hope for another Xmen movie which is deliciously titles ‘Days of Future Past’.
Waiting desperately for that one.

X Men : First Class

*ing : James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender, Jennifer Lawrence,
Director : Matthew Vaughn

Tagline : Before he was Professor X, he was Charles. Before he was Magneto, he was Erik. Before they were enemies, they were allies.

Rarely does it happen I want to see a movie just coz I want to see a guy perform. James McVoy. Yes.
I have seen the movie and immensely enjoyed it then too. Bt I recently I saw trailer of another movie in franchise ‘Days of Future Past’. And I was so itching to see a movie of James. X-Men First class is a first class movie with some superlative performance and great storyline. In fact its all started. How these iconic characters originated, Magneto, Professor Xavier, Raven and others. Really enjoyed once again.

Man of steel

*ing : Henry Cavill, Amy Adams, Michael Shannon
Director : Zack Snyder

Tagline :

Man of Steel is the first installment in the much-anticipated "Superman" reboot helmed by American filmmaker Zack Snyder. The movie marks the return of the DC Comics iconic superhero to the celluloid after a seven- year-long hiatus following the abysmal show of Bryan Singer's Superman Returns (2006).

Co-written by David S. Goyer and Christopher Nolan, Man of Steel stars Henry Cavill in the role of the eponymous superhero—a part that was immortalized by the late Christopher Reeve. The movie's stellar ensemble cast like Amy Adams, Russell Crowe,Kevin Costner, Laurence Fishburne, Diane Lane and Michael Shannon

Man of Steel takes a departure from the trademark style of the "Superman" films starring Christopher Reeve. Make no mistake! Man of Steel's striking contrast to its predecessors is not merely because of its technical Even the makers choose to make a statement by opting for a title that doesn't have the word "Superman" attached to it (not to mention about Superman's new costume). In fact, it would be safe to look upon this rather drastic transformation as a paradigm shift.

Man of Steel serves to be a decent summer flick with truckloads of entertainment value for the casual viewers. But, sadly, for the most part, it remains limited to entertainment. Snyder shows flashes of brilliance but fails to capitalize on those strong moments. Man of Steel offers a lot a promise but falls short of living up to it. At best, it serves to be a run-of-the mill sci-fi adventure that is all style but very little substance. Hopefully, Snyder and team will learn from their mistakes and make a strong comeback with the forthcoming installments.

Kick-Ass 2

*ing : Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Chloƫ Grace Moretz, Christopher Mintz-Plasse, Jim Carrey
Director : Jeff Wadlow

Tagline : You Can't Fight Your Destiny.

I liked the original "Kick-Ass" which was both a fresh idea and had a good portion of innocent fun and good humor. Sadly I have to say that the franchise can be announced dead and buried.

The writer of "Kick-Ass 2" has completely misunderstood the idea behind the original film, and has written a sequel which has lots of troubles. It's lame, boring, violent, childish, bloody, gory, foul-mouthed, stupid and too long.

I'll still honor the idea behind the first, but already in the trailer we could see that this second outing had completely missed the mark, also when it comes to the humor. Watch the two trailers, and you'll easily see what I mean. I was expecting this to be nothing like the first, but I didn't expect it to be that bad.

I actually really understand why Jim Carrey has refused to promote this film, after he saw the result. I originally thought that sounded stupid, but oh boy was he right! This is how NOT to make a sequel!

Iron Man 3

*ing : Robert Downey Jr., Guy Pearce, Gwyneth Paltrow , Ben Kingsley
Director : Shane Black

Tagline : Prepare for a heavy metal!

"Iron Man 3" does what most third entries in movie franchise don't do, turns in a great movie. This holds up very nicely next to the previous 2 installments, and I'd say it's probably better than "Iron Man 2" and about the same as the first movie. Here, Tony Stark(Robert Downey Jr.) is haunted by the events of the Avengers and finds himself obsessing over creating and perfecting new suits. He is constantly trying to figure out new way to protect his lady love Pepper (Gwyneth Paltrow), and make the suits better and better. Then he placed in the cross hairs of a terrorist called the Mandarin (Ben Kingsley). Very unconventional super hero movie, which is great because it's a true breath of fresh air. It's not your typical good guy vs. bad guy movie in a lot of ways. All the performances are great, and it really leaves you with a sense of "how are they gonna do another one?!"
Iron Man is one of my most favorite superhero. He is funny bt when I saw the first promos, I thought they are going to make a dark Iron Man movie and I was really apprenhensive. Bt the film is has enough humor to keep u entertained. And don’t even talk abt action scenes, I was jumping on the seat and my mouth was wide open. Only regret, wish I cud see this movie on IMAX screen.
Anyways, do stay after the credits, it's pretty awesome too..
