Lootera" is a lovingly crafted rarity; a big budget Bollywood offering that makes no compromises and sticks to conviction. Meticulous to detail, richly photographed and lavishly mounted this is a piece of work that not only is a feast to the eye but tugs at your heart strings and does it rather painfully. Varun (Ranveer Singh) and Palkhi's (Sonakshi Sinha) love story is touching, poignant and heart breaking and as good as it gets for any romantic. Sonakshi and Ranveer carry their roles extremely well, particularly Sonakshi as the mischievous and spoiled Palkhi who's world turns upside after she falls in love with the mysterious Varun. The cinematography is sheer poetry with the 1950s sets painstakingly created to such authentic detail. The whole idea behind the film seems to have germinated from O Henry's short story "The Last Leaf" whose story however only takes up the last act.
No review of Lootera is complete without mention of its music. After Udaan, Vikram Motwane again teams up with Amit Trivedi and gives probably the best score of year. Each and every song are gem and the album has soo much heart and surely lot of shelf life.

I can say that Entourage is easily my favorite TV show after Friends. Its extremely funny, entertaining and has plot which I hv keen interest in, Movies. ! Vincent Chase is a Hollywood star staying in Los Angeles with his frends and goes thru up n down of a celeb career with his trusted agent Ari Gold. His friend who is also his manager, Eric Murphy handles his career and wants to see him as a big star. Other 2 staying with him are his elder brother, Johny Drama and Turtle. My favorite of all 5 is Turtle. He is super funny and very adorable character.
I have a blast watching this one.

Lost (Season 5)

Continuing from what was left in previous season, the story take more twist n turns. There are these time flashes which takes the survivors from one time period to another. Adding confusion to their life as well as viewers. There are 6 people who actually manage to leave the island but are forced to come back as they thing they are not DONE with the island. The story is partly interesting but I get a strong feeling that it is dragging a lot. Adding unnecessary confusion for the viewers as well.
Hoping and wishing it gets over soon

The Newsroom (Season 2)

I had loved first season of The Newsroom. Infact it was one of the best political TV series that I had seen by then. First season was sharp, edgy, Political and yet very very entertaining. Wish I could say same about season 2. Although the makers are still the same and its been written by my favorite writer, Aroon Sorkin, I am afraid to say, the second season is a letdown. The season has a continuous plot of a secret operation named Geneoa , which even after intensive research, the journalist team gets it wrong.
And what is the impact of it on the life of all the leads in the series. The finale episode of the season however was very good but not the entire series. Yet, I will continue to watch it if it gets renewed for 3rd season.

Kick-Ass 2

Tagline : You Can't Fight Your Destiny.

I liked the original "Kick-Ass" which was both a fresh idea and had a good portion of innocent fun and good humor. Sadly I have to say that the franchise can be announced dead and buried.

The writer of "Kick-Ass 2" has completely misunderstood the idea behind the original film, and has written a sequel which has lots of troubles. It's lame, boring, violent, childish, bloody, gory, foul-mouthed, stupid and too long.


I'll still honor the idea behind the first, but already in the trailer we could see that this second outing had completely missed the mark, also when it comes to the humor. Watch the two trailers, and you'll easily see what I mean. I was expecting this to be nothing like the first, but I didn't expect it to be that bad.

I actually really understand why Jim Carrey has refused to promote this film, after he saw the result. I originally thought that sounded stupid, but oh boy was he right! This is how NOT to make a sequel!

This is the End

This movie simply wasn't funny. It dragged on interminably; scenes with little comedic value got dragged out for far too long presumably because the directors (and main featured actors) were too high while making this steaming pile of wasted time.

We get it. You like to do drugs and are generally wastes of humanity and oxygen on this planet. This movie isn't funny though. There have been many funny drug movies made, and made by funny people on drugs. This movie is a nauseating bromantic drama pretending to be a comedy. I expected the two main characters to start making out at the end. Not that there would be anything intrinsically wrong with that, in fact it would've been cathartic since they so obviously were in love with each other.

The two funniest actors in the movie, Ansari and Cera, die within the first ten minutes and all you're left with is a weak cast and weaker script.

It is probably the most worthless, most suckable, most uninteresting, most unoriginal, most void of content, most absolutely no good mainstream sci-fi movie made in the last 15 years or so in every way possible!!!

Words are not enough to stress the sucking level of this 2 hour torture to the brain.... you wait and wait to watch something that will at least excite you but alas..... each frame is more of a disappointment than the previous.... why oh why do they spend millions of dollars to make such totally BAD movies?
Dint think Tom Cruise will play a role such a bland in a movie with a story such a bland.
